I am recenly retired having spent 25+ years as a resarch consultant. In addition, I have several years working in the public sector and 8 years working as a part-time and full-time teacher in the Ontario College system.
*** WORK HISTORY ***
* Senior Quantitative Consultant, Research Advisors Division, CRG Consulting. As an independent consultant I provided overall direction to the survey division of CRG Consulting. His responsibilities include preparing client presentations, responding to all qualitative and quantitative RFP's, preparing client proposals, designing research methodologies, designing telephone, paper based and web based data collection instruments, coordinating and conducting fieldwork, conducting in-depth interviews, analyzing data, preparing final reports and conducting client presentations. I also conducted the fieldwork for the monthly CRG Housing report as well as producing a quarterly condominium report for CRG.
* Senior Research Consultant, Satisfacts Research Group. Mr. Mac Donald was tasked with the responsibility of managing all of the activities relating to telephone and web based employee and customer satisfaction studies. Duties included client consultation, preparing client proposals, developing study programs, designing data collection instruments, co-coordinating fieldwork, analyzing data, preparing final reports and conducting client presentations. In addition, Mr. Mac Donald conducted in-depth interviews, moderated internal and external focus groups and conducted off-site training workshops in the areas of Running Effective Meetings, Working in Problem Solving Teams and Continuous Process Improvement.
* Instructor, Ontario Community College System. Mr. Mac Donald worked within the Ontario community College system for seven years on a full and/or part-time basis. Duties included preparing course curriculum, counselling students, working with business community to create coop jobs for students, teaching introductory and advanced marketing and marketing research, business retail, introductory finance mathematics, international business and international research courses.
* International Trade Development Officer, Ministry of Economic Development, Government of British Columbia. Mr. Mac Donald was responsible for working with the small to medium sized B.C. manufacturing community administering government assistance programs, training programs and providing trade show assistance. Job responsibilities included providing small business assistance, monitoring business community activities, qualifying companies for trade show participation, and leading trade missions throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe.
* Economist and Combines Officer, Federal Government of Canada, Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce and the Department of Consumer and Corporate Affairs. Mr. Mac Donald's career with the Federal Government included positions as an Economist and a Combines Officer. As an economist, he worked with the Import/Export Division of the old Industry, Trade and Commerce, where he conducted economic analysis and reporting on Canadian imports and exports. As a Combines Officer with the Bureau of complaints against industries that were in contravention of the Combines Act.
